Beardall Animal Hospital's Veterinarians

Dr. Gay Chamberlain
Dr. Chamberlain is the owner of Beardall Animal Hospital. She was born in Montreal and grew up in Ottawa. After graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1983, she worked for 5 years in Fort Erie. In 1988 she moved to Kingston to join Beardall Animal Hospital. Her main interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, reptile and pocket pet (rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets etc) medicine and surgery. She was thrilled to be able to build a new modern facility for the animal hospital where we moved to in May of 2005. She presently owns two Italian greyhounds (Wishbone and Sunny), a whippet (Holly) and a wonderful cat named Sushi. When is not at the hospital Dr. Chamberlain enjoys kayaking, hiking, golfing, hockey, downhill skiing, curling and traveling.
Dr. Nadia Ouellette
Dr. Ouellette completed her BSc. at the University of New Brunswick and her DVM at the Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI. Although she calls New Brunswick home, Nadia comes from a military family and has lived in other countries such as Germany and Turkey. Her interests in veterinary medicine include: surgery, pocket pet medicine and animal behavior. Outside of work Nadia is passionate about traveling, horses and playing Badminton. She is lucky to share her home with a naughty torti cat named Charlotte and a guinea pig named Rocket, both of whom were rescued while she was in vet school.
Dr. Shari Clark
We are excited to welcome a new veterinarian to the hospital, Dr. Shari Clark. Dr. Clark recently moved with her family from Toronto to Kingston. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College (1993) and has a special interest in neurology and pain management.

She has two dogs (Jackson and Tessa), three cats (Cleo, Dexter and Alley Cat), two horses (Nic and Charley) and a cow (Ethel).

Dr. Lilla Yan
Dr. Lilla Yan grew up in Mississauga and is a graduate of Ontario Veterinary College. She joined us in the spring of 2010 as a full-time veterinarian. Dr. Yan sees dogs, cats as well as your scaly, feathery or furry friends. She has worked with avian and exotic pets extensively and has been trained by some of the world’s experts on these animals. She believes every pet is special, no matter how small they are. In her spare time, she enjoys hockey, travelling, cooking, volunteering and exploring the city. She has a Lab cross named Rusty, a cat (Sia) and a free-ranged rabbit named Hercules.
